The purpose of this presentation is twofold. The first is to meet the mandated course on the rules of agency. The materials discuss agency in general, as well as in connection with the preparation of purchase agreements. Second, the materials discuss the preparation of a commercial purchase agreement. The materials begin with a checklist of items needed to prepare a purchase agreement for undeveloped land. Subsequent chapters discuss additional provisions needed for improved properties. These clauses vary, depending on the use of the property. The materials do not deal with the form of purchase agreement mandated for single family property, other than Chapter 8. This chapter compares the statutory mandated form with corresponding provisions contained in the materials. The materials contain a chapter on enforcement. This is important to the realtor. Contractual clauses must be considered with enforcement issues.
